Do you sell tea? Yes!  We offer a nice selection of Harney & Sons Tea in 4 oz loose leaf and silken sachet varieties.  We sell the tea blends we serve in our Tea Room so you can take a new, or old, favorite home. 

Do you offer gift certificates? Yes.  We will be happy to create a certificate for any dollar amount you wish.

Do you take walk ins – do I have to make a reservation? All Food Services require reservations. At this time, we are not able to accommodate walk-ins due to the limited capacity of our Tea Room, small kitchen and private party bookings.

Can I reserve a High Tea for just a few people? Yes.  We are happy to reserve a table for 1 to 8 people for a non-private Tea.  You can book Non-Private Tea Seatings up to 30 days in advance.

Can you split checks or take multiple payments: Yes.  However, for any size group, we will split the check take and/or take a maximum of 4 payments. Individual checks/payments are not available for larger groups.

How many people can you accommodate for a private party?  It will depend on the format and type of party you wish to host.  30 is generally the max but we will be happy to discuss options in detail.

Do you offer catering?  Due to our VERY limited kitchen capacity, we are not able to offer full-service catering.  We can, on some occasions, prepare catered food for you to pick up for your function elsewhere,

How much is a Private Party?  Please see the Private Party tab of our website under Parties for our various party offerings and prices.  We will be happy to discuss variations and details over the phone.

Can we split or share a Tea Set? No. Each person 3 yrs and older must have a Tea-Set order.  

Can we use the Dress-Up costumes? Our Royal Gown Room was designed for use with our Private Party Bookings.  However, the Royal Gown Room with our princess dresses, hats and boas are available for use during your Afternoon High Tea Party reservation. We do have guidelines that must be followed, please see our Policies page for details.

Do you offer a birthday package?  Yes!  We offer the MOST amazing private parties you’ll ever see.  But, if you are choosing to celebrate with a non-private seating, the birthday honoree and their party guests can wear our festive costumes, etc.  but please bare in mind that we will most likely have other guests present using the costumes as well.  Exclusivity is only guaranteed with a private party.  Your group’s activity and sound levels must be respectful of our other guests and children MUST be supervised by an adult AT ALL TIMES.  They may not be in the Gown Room or Boutique without adult supervision.  During a private party, you and your group are free to be completely active and can have higher noise levels.


Do you have a dress code? No. We may be fancy, but we’re not fussy.  Of course, shirts and shoes are required.

 

Do you have an age limit?  For our Tea Parties, we find that 4 years of age and older do best.  If you choose to bring children under four, please be aware that we use real, fine bone china tea settings and vintage tablecloths.  Small children are welcome but will require constant adult supervision by a responsible adult in your party. We do not have dress-up costumes for children under 4.

 

Do you have booster seats/highchairs?  No.  All of our furnishings are vintage and antique.  We can provide pillows to boost a seat.

 

How long is my Afternoon Tea Party time slot?  Most people stay 60-90 minutes.  We schedule a maximum of 90 minutes per reservation.

 

How long is a private party? Private parties have use of the facilities for 2 hours.  Should you need a longer time-slot, additional fees will apply.

 

Can I bring a birthday cake or cupcakes?  We do not allow outside food.  However, if there are extreme dietary restrictions, will be happy to discuss options over the phone prior to your visit.

Can we bring gifts and open them during our reservation: During our private parties, of course!  For non-private parties, we ask that you be aware and respectful of our other guests.  Activity and noise levels will need to be kept to a minimum in order for all guests to have a pleasant experience.  For gift openings, we highly suggest a private party booking.

 

Can I bring some party décor or a banner?  For Private Parties, some décor is allowable such as party favors – call to discuss. For non-private parties, additional décor is not allowed. 

Do you serve alcohol?  No, we do not have a liquor license.  However during a private party and with prior arrangements with us, you can bring your own beer, wine or champagne.  You will need to supply, serve and dispose of your own bottles.  We can provide stemware for an extra fee. All party guests must be 21 or older if alcohol is present.
